My Look at 'Amazing Free & OpenSource Mac Applications'

* I always try to use Free & OpenSource Applications in my 'closed' source Mac - being FOSS guy from /root of my heart. Here is my list:

1. iTerm: Nice terminal application
2. Firefox: Do I need to say anything?
3. Adium: Amazing messenger!
4. Colloquy: IRC Rocks...
5. Cyberduck: FTP Client
6. Gimp: Photoshop alternative for me

I am still using Apple Mail, Xlite, iCal which are amazing. I am waiting for Thunderbird 3 and some saneness in Sunbird. Xlite has no alternative at moment. Do you know any FOSS SIP client running on Mac?

Hi Kartik,

I have started to read your blogs recently and this is the first comment.

iTerm: Used linux terminal a lot when I was in college but 'cmd' took over it :( Still enjoy applying tweaks through the Max OS X terminal.

Firefox: Preferred browser even on Windows!
Adium: +1
Cyberduck: SFTP to my jailbroken iPhone to transfer files.
Gimp: To edit iTunes album arts. Great photo editing tool.

Haven't tried Thunderbird yet.

Two more:
1.Neo office/Openoffice - free alternative of MS office
2.Handbrake - To rip dvds and convert videos

I guess you must be using Quicksilver and iStat also.
